The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India’s squads for the upcoming tour of South Africa. The tour will consist of three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Test matches.

White-ball squads

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will not be a part of the white-ball squad for this tour. Sanju Samson and Shreyas Iyer will be making a comeback to the ODI squad after long injuries. Ajinkya Rahane has been axed from the Test squad.

Jasprit Bumrah is another big name who would not be a part of the white-ball formats in South Africa. He will join the squad for the two-match Test series starting December 26.

Suryakumar Yadav will lead the T20I squad.
KL Rahul will captain the ODI squad.
Rohit Sharma will retain the leadership role in the Test series.

KL Rahul was listed as a wicketkeeper in the Test squad.
